We wanted to get an early start so that we could do and see as much of the Grand Tetons as possible. We went to the visitor center to get information and look at their exhibits. We decided to do the Taggart Lake trail and were very glad we did. The view of Taggart Lake was amazing. The mountains reflected beautifully off the lake in the early sunlight. It was very secluded and peaceful. After making it back to our car, we started the driving loop. We stopped and ate lunch at a picnic area overlooking Jenny Lake. Afterward, we continued the driving loop where we stopped at several places to look around. We saw two more moose (a cow and calf) which was very exciting.
After seeing most of the Grand Tetons, we drove to the KOA near Craters of the Moon in Idaho. Lauren had called asking when their office closed. The person informed Lauren that they would close at 5 P.M. We drove there without making stops so that we could get there before closing. When we arrived around 4:30 P.M., the office was already closed. This was frustrating as we were hoping to grab some food from their store. Instead, we had to drive around to find a small grocery store. That night we slept in our car since it seemed like we were in a ghost town.
End Day 58.
Ur pictures are absolutely incredible. Thanks for Sharing! looking forward to hearing about craters of the moon!
